The Nanchang/Hongdu JL-8/K-8 Karakorum is a single-engine two-seat jet trainer and light ground-attack aircraft produced by the Chinese manufacturer China Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation.
The JL-8/K-8 was developed by the China Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (75%) and the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, PAC (25%). Export variants are marketed by the Chinese CATIC as K-8 Karakorum.
