The EMBRAER EMB-312 Tucano is a single engine two seat trainer aircraft produced by the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica, S.A.). The EMB-312 can be operated as a light ground-attack aircraft (variant AT-27) also.
For the Royal Air Force was a customer adaption together with Shorts developed (Shorts Tucano T1). Main differences are: other cockpit layout, other engine (Garrett TPE331-12B) and a four-bladed propeller.
