The Fw 44 was produced in Germany by Focke-Wulf, Bücker Flugzeugbau, AGO Flugzeugwerke and Siebel Flugzeugwerke. The Fw 44 was also license-built in several countries like Argentina by FMA (Fabrica Militar de Aviones), Sweden by CVV (Central Verkstaden at Västeras) and ASJA (AB Svenska Järnvägsverkstädernas Aeroplanavdelning) and Czechoslovakia by CKD-Praga.
